Lettera aperta in forma di film: il continuo movimento dello sguardo documenta la situazione abitativa di un quartiere popolare romano, le sue case pericolanti, i suoi cortili fatiscenti, i suoi colori spenti, mostrando le tracce di una guerra che per i poveri non è mai davvero finita.
Una voice over di viva forza polemica descrive l’intollerabile condizione di vita e i continui pericoli di morte degli abitanti, assumendosi in prima persona l’onere di denunciare persone ed eventi che hanno creato un disastro pubblico: una rigorosa forma di reportage senza sconti ma senza urla di cui avremmo ancora bisogno.
An open letter in the form of a film: the non-stop movement of the camera testifies the housing conditions in a popular Roman neighbourhood, its unstable houses, its run-down courtyards, its dull colours, showing the traces of a war that for the poor has never really ended.
A voice over of deep controversial vigour describes the unbearable and life-threatening conditions of the inhabitants, taking upon itself the responsibility of denouncing people and events that have caused a true social catastrophe: a rigorous form of “reportage”, that makes no concessions but gives out no cries, that we are still in great need of.
