Il film segue un’estate nella vita di un gruppo di pensionati greci che frequentano regolarmente diverse città termali.
La vita prosegue con lentezza al ritmo dei ricordi del passato.
In quest’atmosfera svogliata i protagonisti si sentono liberi di dire e fare cose che non si sarebbero mai autorizzati nel loro circolo sociale abituale.
C’è nell’aria una sensazione di libertà e di leggerezza. Invece di essere attorniati da anziani, si ha spesso l’impressione di essere con degli adolescenti in una colonia estiva.
Quest’atmosfera felice è spesso alternata da riflessioni sul passato o sulla morte.
The film follows a summer season in the lives of a group of retired Greek men and women who are regular visitors at various Greek spa towns.
Life around Greek spa towns moves slowly with rhythms that are reminiscent of past times.
Within this listless atmosphere people feel free to do and say things they would never be allowed in their usual social circles.
A sense of freedom and lightness is in the air. Instead of being amongst elderly people, one often gets the feeling of being around a group of teenagers in a summer camp.
This joyful atmosphere often alternates with reflections on the past or on death.
